As Palladium’s Global Director for Safety and Security, Charles creates secure working environments for our people, projects, and property by addressing potential risks and mitigations at both local and global levels. His team manages safety protocols worldwide, ensuring compliance with international standards and regulations
Charles joined Palladium as the Senior Operational Security Advisor for the Humanitarian Stabilization and Operations Team (HSOT) working from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Leveraging his experiences working on military operations in hostile environments, he assisted HSOT projects in complex environments including in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon and Libya.
Prior to Palladium, Charles served in the British Army’s Scots Guards, an Infantry Regiment, leaving in the rank of Brigadier. His service saw him deployed across the globe, including to many operational theatres, as well as tours in London conducting ceremonial duties, demonstrating his Regiment’s historic links with the Monarch. Among his other decorations, he was awarded the US Legion of Merit following an operational tour with the United States Marine Corps. He maintains his military links by being a member of the London Guards Regimental Council (an Infantry Reserve Regiment) and trustee of a military-associated charity.
Charles holds a Master of Arts in Defense Studies and a Masters of Business Administration.
