Mary Anne Varela-Spooner, “MAVS” leads the Americas Human Resource function at Palladium as VP of HR. Bringing over twenty years of HR experience, MAVS provides action-oriented and strategic guidance for Palladium’s leadership and ensures HR processes and systems are fit for purpose.
Prior to joining Palladium, MAVS held leadership positions at Aspirion, Lorien Health, and Helios HR.
MAVS began her human resources career while serving in the United States Navy as a payroll and personnel support. Her Navy career started in August 1994, as the last female recruit to graduate from then Recruit Training Center, Orlando. MAVS then transitioned to her first duty station supporting sailors and submariners at Personnel Support Detachment in San Diego, California, as a Disbursing Clerk focusing on personnel and payroll.
MAVS earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Mary Washington with a focus on organizational and human resources development.
